I just played and completed Jank 'N' Pon the other day. l enjoyed the time I did spend on the game, looking at the animations and love put into this short demo. For working on this in 4 months as students is quite impressive, for what was displayed. The controls felt tight and the humor made me smile a few times throughout playing.
If there was anything I would say I would like added it would probably be other dangerous obstacles or enemies. It was pretty easy to complete, but I am thinking you're still experimenting with other gameplay mechanics.
I have a question, I noticed there was an attack button in the game, did you originally have plans to add things to break in the demo? Other than that I hope you will continue this in the future, it gave me that Rayman Legends vibe!
Because I'm not the administrator of the page, I didn't catch your message before... Sorry for the delay!
Yes, we definitively wanted to do an easy game. But if one day we decide to continue the project, we will add some enemies, more difficulty, access to the party, etc... among other things, yes! ;)
Well... The "attack" action was actually a search action (to find the cactus in hiding places). But as you noticed, this wasn't the ideal animation... ^^
On the itch app I get the error message when I tried to run the game after install "Its last words were: application crashed. process exited with code 127" the whole problem here http://pastebin.com/UuSvS7mv
Hi! It's a pity... I'm sorry you are meeting some troubles for playing... But I don't know where it's coming from, I can't help you =/ Maybe try with an other computer? (If you can...)
This game look fresh and colourful. Looks pretty good but I can't play because when I tried the disclaimer said the game is not compatible with the version of windows I am running. Which is windows 7. I think its because its no longer genunine but I don't really know.
Hi! I'm sorry you are meeting some troubles for playing... At first glance it should work for windows 7. (But not sure...) Can you try with an other computer?
Jank'N'Pon's first impression was a simple mobile game. However, the more I delved into it, the more potential I saw in this game. This really blew away my expectations.
It has an quasi-Metroidvania open world to explore. The keyboard controls are different than I had expected. While there is controller support, but I could never get it to work for some reason. Maybe my XBOne controller or USB cable is borked.
The cartoon-style graphics are cute, reminding me of Rayman Legends. I will say, however, that the sight of twerking pigs was... well... interesting. Apart from that, the soundtrack's amazing, the gameplay is as a platformer should be, and the difficulty is in a nice sweet spot.
In short, I'm super stoked to see future releases of Jank'N'Pon. This short demo, even with going after all the coins, was just enough to tease the tastebuds while not satisfying my hunger. This game's got my attention!
Wow :D Thanks!! We're glad to see you like Jank'n'Pon. Even if no new release is planned at the moment for this demo (maybe for later, who knows ?), a totally different game is on the way for may 2017...
Thanks for playing !! You were really close... Try a look on your map! (B) It could help... :) (even if the logo of Jank isn't at the right place, sorry for that).

Thank you for the game, even though it's just this one level, it's a pleasure to collect all the coins.
